Design Process

This project began with wireframing and high-fidelity mockups to establish the structure, layout, and visual style across the four key pages: Home, Shop, Item Description, and Commissions. The goal was to create an experience that felt like stepping into a gallery, where the artwork could speak for itself without the design getting in the way.

I worked closely with Corinna to align the direction with her vision, and while she gave me significant creative freedom, she responded well to the WordPress template I selected which helped guide the final aesthetic. These wireframes helped clarify the information architecture and shopping flow before development began.

Key Takeaways

This project taught me how to balance visual storytelling with usability. If I revisited it, I’d incorporate UX research and refine the shop experience through testing and filters.
